Walpole & Pemberton: Tree Paradise

In Walpole, you can walk through an ancient empire with the original keeper, Grandma Tingle, still at the gate. She’s been watching over her trees for 400 years and still stands strong, withstanding signs of fire and drought.

As you meander through the other majestic eucalyptus trees, you will notice the most amazing coexistence between the old and new helping each other grow.

In the evening, we arrived at Pemberton where we sat by a communal fire, where travelers exchanged stories and camped amongst luscious trees. The forest seemed endless and air so fresh. It is here that you can climb the magnificent Glouster Tree, which towers 53m tall. Not for the faint hearted.
