Cold weather began to creep in. No one was keen to go for a swim, even though our camp site at Parry’s Beach was right on the water.

The kids preferred running through the tree alcoves that enclosed each camp site, while Andrew and I would count down the minutes till the fire started crackling in the evening.

We stopped by Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool. We walked between two boulders, that were about 20m tall and trudged through water to get to a hidden beach. There, more boulders of various sizes sprawled over the sand and in the water.

The kids were scaling some of the bigger rocks and jumping off the smaller ones. It was absolutely breathtaking – but too cold to swim!

Greens Pool was equally remarkable with boulders and amazing snorkeling opportunities (if the weather was warmer – or we had wet suits).
