Vibrant green is not how I imagined the Nullarbor.
Yet the red dirt is barely visible beneath the thick shrubbery.
We pass a sign that says treeless plain but it isn’t long and small trees begin to pop up. We keep looking out for camels and wombats, but haven’t seen any signs of wildlife – well except for the crows eating the roadkill.
Its quite spectacular to pull over in one of the side parks and get a glimpse of the high cliffs of The Great Australian Bight.
Once in WA we traveled along the longest straight road for ninety miles (~145 km) which was… well just a straight road!
Nullarbor conquered. Now to enjoy the west coast.
