We’re on our way out of South Australia, and she has one last beauty to throw our way.
Cactus beach.
There are sand dunes falling into a lake. The lake itself is crystal clear with streams meandering through purple plants towards more distant dunes.
At the end of this surreal landscape is the beach. You cross a wooden path over golden sands and green heaths that lead to a pristine surf beach. To the left, there are cliffs dipping into the sea and to the right, there are white sand dunes.
It’s a little off the road to get to here, but definitely worth a visit. Next time perhaps we’ll stay to camp.
